Smile series

These next few pictures are a part of the Smile series. I've named it that because although Max has no problem being able to voice how he's feeling or what he's thinking, I've had a lot of trouble with it. Maybe I'm too shy, but when I try to talk it ends up being a ramble that doesn't really express how I feel at all. I'm viewed as being quiet with a big smile by a lot of people. Each one of these were one of the few ways I could show what was going on in my head at the time and what was behind all of my smiling.

This last one isn't quite finished yet.

The next few pictures are Max's first light experiment. No photoshop used at all! These were done by filling a glass bowl with two drinking glasses packed with ice and layering ice on top of them to fill the bowl. Then we put the bowl on two Iphones that were flashing different colors through a flashlight app. Then he took pictures while moving the camera to prolong the exposure with the small amount of light.

Hello! Our names are Max Fritze and Jacquelyn LeVan. We met about three years ago and have been collaborating ever since. Max works mostly with photography and the intricate details in our drawings. I do most of the shading in our drawings and paint as well. We're just starting to show our stuff, and will keep you updated on any upcoming shows!
